IFFCO MD congratulates Chandra Pal

Dr U S Awasthi, the Managing Director of IFFCO was one of the firsts to congratulate Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav on his impressive re-election as NCUI President on Monday in Delhi. Yadav, the Rajya Sabah Member and a Samajwadi Party leader was elected unanimously by the new Board.

Awasthi  tweeted soon after the results “ #IFFCO Congratulates #ChandrapalYadavji 4 winning the #NCUI’s Chairman Election second time in a row. #Cooperatives will grow 2 new heights.”

IFFCO MD had earlier expressed happiness at the elevation of Shri Yadav to Rajya Sabha. In a tweet he had hoped that with the presence of a senior cooperator like him in the Parliament, concerns of this sector would no longer be ignored.

The two leaders, strong in their own ways have been seen getting close to each other in the recent years. A senior cooperator on condition of anonymity told India Cooperative that there was a lobby active in the past which worked overtime to create differences between the two. And their job was to fish in the trouble water, he added.

But things changed when Awasthi and Chandra Pal took it on their hands to communicate directly discarding the middlemen. They cooperated during ICA election in a big way which finally saw IFFCO sending its candidate to ICA.

The role of Aditya Yadav assumes a mention here as being the son of Shivpal Singh Yadav he was as dear to Chandra Pal as to Awasthi. And now the election of Pramod Kumar Singh, an IFFCO director with the support of Chandra Pal has further cemented the ties.
