The board meeting of IFFCO in Phulpur proved lucky for Yogendra Kumar and Mukul Srivastava, Head of Phulpur Unit who were promoted to Executive Director (Marketing) and Senior Executive Director respectively. A seasoned man- Kumar has been following IFFCO MD Dr US Awasthi like his shadow ever since the latter launched Farmers’ Connect Campaign last year.
Expressing gratitude to the Board, Kumar said ” I feel honoured but at the same time it means greater responsibilities and accountability. “I will continue to report to Marketing Director Mr Arabinda Roy.
The meteoric rise of Kumar from a simple officer to the level of ED within a short span of time is the talk of the town.
Kumar is said to be a trouble-shooter whose sense of etiquette and positive disposition wins the heart of all from officials to politicians. “Nothing has changed for me- the same job, the same boss”, he told Indian Cooperative trying to downplay the growth in his career.
The Phulpur Board meeting was 10th since the MD launched his campaign. Due to ill-health, Chairman Mr B S Nakai could not come and the Board meeting was presided over by Vice-Chairman.
The Board members also visited CORDET where they were briefed about the schemes being implemented for the benefit of farmers. Later they posed for group photography.
Phulpur had a little different atmosphere in the sense that representatives of employees and officers unions presented their views before the Board members. A specially sculpted statue was dedicated commemorating IFFCO’s Golden Jubilee.
The MD also had a media meet where he explained IFFCO’s various activities.
Mr. Yogendra Kumarji is a exceptional personality for performing his duties. He is having always extraordinary positive attitude. I have seen him very closely.
I am proud to be a Phulpurian. I fondly remember the late seventies, the temporary structures the summer dust and the Kutcha roads during rain and hundreds of hard working construction crew, the days everyone in IFFCO from Mazdoor to Managing Director felt equal and worked shoulder to shoulder. Always happy to hear/read good things about IFFCO.
Congrats to our honourable Sri Yogendra Kumar and Sri Mukul Srivastava on the rise to this new horizon.
