Not the one to miss a chance in participating in Agriculture fair, the largest fertilizer cooperative in the world IFFCO has setup its stalls displaying several of its products at the CII fair currently underway in Chandigarh.
The theme for this year’s Fair, which happens to be the 13th edition, is “Technology in Agriculture: Increasing Farmer’s Income.”
The premier biennial four-day agro-technology and business fair is being organized by the prestigious body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Chandigarh. According to IFFCO sources, its decorated stall displaying several of its products is a runway success going by the interest it is evincing among the visitors.
IFFCO stall is not only selling products but also coaching farmers about various facilities for farmers’ benefits launched by the cooperative titan over the years. Soil health, Iffco Yuva, Indian Cooperative Digital Platform and its recent products in organic fertilizer range Sagaraika are some of the stuff attracting visitors.
Earlier, the President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the mega international agricultural fair, “CII AgroTech 2018”, on 1st December.
Applauding the farmers of Punjab and Haryana, Shri Kovind said the States’ farmers have never shied away from a challenge and a responsibility to larger society. “Today we are facing a problem related to disposal of crop residue and of safe and clean removal of husk or stubble”, President Kovind asserted.
The Fair is being organized in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). This is likely to be wound up today. It has been sited at Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh, Punjab.
