The Team IFFCO is continuously working closely with farmers and laborers across the states and organizing awareness campaigns, as reported earlier in these columns. And at many places it has solicited the support of some high-profile leaders including Dileep Sanghani, BC Patil, Nishikant Dubey, Sunil Kumar Singh, among others.
In Bihar Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh was at the forefront distributing relief material in villages, eliciting a word of appreciation from the IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi.
IFFCO’s selfless service has been so impressive that it compelled Union Minister Sadanand Gowda to tweet lauding the co-op titan. “Good gesture by #IFFCO who distributed face masks and other accessories to farm labours, warehouse workers & goods-shed labours & created awareness on prevention of Coronavirus at Shivamogga in Karnataka today”, Gowda wrote.

At the Jamui rack-point laborers and truck drivers were made aware of the danger of the Corona virus and were given masks, soap, sanitiser, Vitamin C tablets, etc by the IFFCO team. In one such program organized in Midnapur of West Bengal, the team distributed Masks, Medicated Soap, Sanitiser, Vitamin C Tablets and essential food items among the needy farmers & laborers.
Even its subsidiaries are active as one of them IFFDC, dedicated to forest rejuvenation distributed necessary items among 50 families of the village Sathani Balakhera falling in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. IFFDC took the help of the local co-op Karnaipur Krishi Vaniki Sahkari Samiti for the purpose.
In Kangra in Himanchal Pradesh, IFFCO provided medicated soaps & other important materials which are being distributed to farmers by the Secretary of the Kariyada CASS.
More than 200 families of Saraspalli village in the Baliya district of eastern Uttar Pradesh were taught how to maintain social distance, as they were also given masks, soap, sanitiser, Vitamin C tablets, etc free of cost.
The IFFCO field team visited the village Surwal in Sawaimadhopur, Rajasthan and distributed Vitamin C tablets, sanitizer, medicated soap and mask among the villagers & farmers for spreading the awareness for Corona pandemic, tweeted its MD Dr U S Awasthi recently.
One of the IFFCO field teams distributed hand sanitizers and masks to members of the Anore village level Committee in Maharashtra another one distributed masks to farmers of Assam. Yet another team was active in Kishanganj in Bihar while yet another one was working tirelessly in East Godavari Dist in Andhra Pradesh.
Similarly, hundreds of places including Ambala, Prayagraj, Bengaluru, Simoga, Satara, Jalandhar, Raipur etc have been visited by the IFFCO team, underlining the fact that when it comes to social service nobody can match the humane approach of the cooperative model.
