IFFCO’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is going to take place tomorrow on Wednesday at the NCUI auditorium at Siri Fort Road in Delhi. The much awaited cooperative event is being managed for the first time by the new Cooperative Relation Director Mr A K Singh and his team.
Last year after the departure of a formidable G N Saxena, R P Singh had managed the show with great finesse receiving plaudits. The new Director A K Singh, though long steeped in the culture of IFFCO is comparatively inexperienced in these matters. But insiders say MD Dr US Awasthi himself is taking a personal interest in the matter and is not leaving anything to chance.
Talking to Indian Cooperative IFFCO PR Head Harshendra Verdhan Singh said this time the AGM would be different in the sense that cooperators and farmers would be exposed to various activities besides getting information about production of fertilizer by the IFFCO.
The exhibition hall would have separate stalls for all the activities of IFFCO including social media, IFFCO-Tokio, IFFDC, IKSL and others; whatever you saw till now would be all pales by comparison before what you are going to see, claimed Harsh.
More than 900 delegates representing close to 36 thousand cooperative societies are going to participate. They would come from all the four corners of the country, added Harsh.
IFFCO would again this year- 15th in a row- give a dividend of 20 per cent to its delegates. The practice of giving 5gram of gold coin ( so that farmers are able to meet gold-requirement at the time of their daughter’s marriage) would also continue.
Meanwhile, NCUI campus and its auditorium are being spruced up for the occasion. You can come Wednesday early morning to take stock of our preparations, said a confident Harsh.
