Mr R D Agrawal has been made the returning officer. Mr Agrawal is a senior advocate at Supreme Court.
All the Directors of IFFCO are camping in Delhi since Thursday.
Meanwhile, a condolence meeting at IFFCO sadan was held on Thursday in which all directors coupled with people connected to cooperative sector participated. Amidst devotional song and nostalgic remembrances, people paid condolence to the departed soul.
Balram Jakhar, the senior congress leader and father of Surender Jakhr also participated in the event.
Chandra Pal Singh, NCUI President and Bijender Singh, NAFED Chairman also participated in the condolence.
ICA Regional Director Dr Chan Ho Choi read the massage from President and Vice President of Global ICA on the occasion. Jakhar was the only director from India on ICA Board.
Talking on the occasion, Mr U S Awasthi said that IFFCO has lost pillar of strength and void created by Surender Jakhar would be hard to fill up.
Later in the day NCUI also called a condolence meet at its office in N Delhi where people paid homage to the departed soul.
It looked as if the IFFCO board will meet in the second half after the condolence meet to elect Chairman and Vice-Chairman. But later it was decided to give 24 hrs for consultation and for arriving at a mutually decided candidate.
