IFFCO has called Board Meeting on Thursday for the condolence of the untimely demise of its Chairman Mr Surender Jakhar on Monday.
There would also be general condolence at IFFCO Sadan,Saket in N Delhi in the forenoon. Earlier, in its condolence massage, the Managing Director Mr U S Awasthi said that IFFCO has lost pillar of strength in the death of beloved Chairman Mr Surender Jakhar. He said that the void created by the departure of the leader would be hard to fill up.
The board meeting, according to IFFCO bye laws would be chaired by N C Patel in the absence of Jakhar. Mr Patel ,a Gandhian to the hilt is the Vice-Chairman of IFFCO. This board meeting, though called for condolence will have to take up matters pressing for the giant cooperative.
The most pressing agenda before the board is election of new Chairman.
Readers may be aware that IFFCO Chairman Surender Jakhar was killed on Monday in an accidental fire at his farm house at Abohar in Punjab.
