While in the first month of the new year all the IFFCO’s plants did well, it was IFFCO Bazar, one of the subsidiaries of the fertilizer cooperative which surpassed the sale of 1 million metric tonnes of fertilizer for the first time in its history. This is 17 percent higher than what it achieved in the same period last year, said IFFCO sources.
The news was shared by IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi through his twitter wall congratulating the IFFCO’s Marketing Head Yogendra Kumar and his team for doing a wonderful job. The IFFCO Bazar is a one stop shop catering to the farmers’ requirements of fertilizers, seeds, agro chemicals, pesticides and agricultural tools etc.
Awasthi wrote “Congratulations to #IFFCOBazar team for surpassing the sale of 1 Million MT Fertilizers for the first time. This is 17% higher than the same period last year. Overall turnover also increased by 38% even with season tapering off in most states.”
In January, Yogendra Kumar’s marketing team performed well in the sales of Water-Soluble fertilizer and Specialty fertilizers by registering the growth of 88.41%, Sagarika granule & Liquid 77% & 82.71% respectively.
Besides, IFFCO’s units spread across the country and its subsidiaries also performed well and surpassed their targets for the month of January. The MD congratulated one and all through the social media.
Uttar Pradesh based Phulpur Unit surpassed the targets of ammonia and urea fertiliser winning words of appreciation from MD Dr U S Awasthi. Similarly, Aonla Unit head I C Jha and his team have won praise from the MD for achieving the targets.
Dr Awasthi congratulated each team separately. Tweeting for the Kalol Unit in particular, the IFFCO MD tweeted, ” Congratulations #IFFCO #Kalol Unit @dginamdar & team for achieving the production target of #ammonia and #urea for the month of #Jan2021. The unit also dispatched #urea fertiliser well in time & produced Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). Keep it up”.
The MD also tweeted for other units including the Paradeep and Kandla units for their excellent performance and encouraged them to perform better in future too.
Similarly, IFFCO-Tokio has also achieved all targets and performed well on all parameters for the month of January 2021. It’s overseas subsidiary JIFCO has also surpassed and completed more than 100 percent monthly production target for 2020. The MD congratulated the JIFCO team through a tweet.
