In a major move aimed at giving relief to the farmers, IFFCO announced that they have decided not to increase the price of its DAP, NPK & NPS fertilizers, no matter what the input cost be.
Being a leader in the fertilizer price stabilization in the country, the move is being heralded as yet another example of cooperative’s commitment to farmers. The announcement was made on Tuesday.
Sharing the news IFFCO MD tweeted, “We at #IFFCO, reiterate that IFFCO will not increase prices of #DAP Rs 1200/-, #NPK 10:26:26 Rs 1175/-, #NPK 12:32:16 Rs 1185/- & #NPS 20:20:0:13 Rs 925/- complex fertilisers for March, 2021. We aim to reduce agri input cost to farmers.”
A press release sent to Indian Cooperative reads, “IFFCO, world’s biggest processed fertiliser cooperative will not increase the MRP of its DAP, NPK & NPS fertilisers. We at IFFCO, reiterate that the prices of #DAP is Rs 1200/-, #NPK 10:26:26 is Rs 1175/-, #NPK 12:32:16 is Rs 1185/- & #NPS 20:20:0:13 is Rs 925/- per bag of fertiliser”.
“We are always committed to serve the farmers & aim to reduce agricultural input cost to farmers. In the last Rabi season also, IFFCO did not increase any prices for the complex fertilisers. This is in line with Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi’s plan of doubling the farmers income by 2022. Although there is a huge spike in the cost of raw materials in the international market, IFFCO’s commitment for farmers’ service will remain intact”, it further reads.
