Talking to Indian Cooperative Dr G N Saxena, Director of Cooperative Development, admitted as much. ”We have sent an appeal to all the voters to cast their votes in Adiya Yadav’s favour who is the IFFCO candidate.”
ICA is convening General Body on 5th October, 2014 at Quebec, Canada where election would take place for a lone seat ,vacant in the wake of resignation by Mr Len Wardel from U.K. Cooperatives.
Aditya Yadav is a candidate showing drive and energy as he is young and stylish in tune with the global standards. In his appeal Dr Saxena writes “to kindly vote for him and support his candidature in the Meeting of Members at Quebec, Canada.”
For those who are not in a position to go Dr Saxena suggests” In case, for some reasons, if you are unable to physically represent your organisation in the Meeting of Members on 5th October, 2014, you can vote by “proxy” on behalf of your organisation.
As per the communication received from Ms. Gretchen Hacquard, Director of Membership, ICA, she will be sending you a “Proxy Form” which can be used for casting the vote on behalf of your organisation. You may very kindly fill in this “proxy form” and duly filled-in form may be mailed back to her in time.”
Further he says “We shall be thankful if you could kindly also endorse a copy of the same to the undersigned or to the Managing Directors’ Office (mdoffice@iffco.coop ) so that we could use your vote for the advantage of Mr Aditya Yadav. Since, Shri Aditya Yadav is known to all of you, we will be thankful for your vote and support in the ICA elections on 5th October, 2014 at Quebec, Canada.”
Obviously, the two bad experiences have taught Iffco to be extra-careful and hence this request for a copy of endorsement to MD’s office. However, it is not yet clear as to how IFFCO is going to win foreign votes over to its side.
