IFFCOlive.com brings to us a refreshing story of how a farmer’s son has made the farming easy by his innovation. The story relates to a farmer’s son from Chhattisgarh, Raipur who has developed a drone technology to sprinkle the medicine in the agriculture land.
The story was retweeted by the IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi for wider reach.
Rahul Chawda from Raipur doesn’t have any degree. He has a farmhouse of about 25 acre located 30 km away from Raipur. He has been doing farming from 15 years.
Rahul developed this technology by importing spare parts from Japan, China and US. The expense incurred in making drone is about Rs 2 lakh. It can easily fold and can be taken into bags or suitcases, Rahul said , reports IFFCOlive. I took two years to design this technology, Rahul added.
This drone has a capacity of five to seven liters of pesticides onboard and can spray pesticides on all type of crops.
This technology could come handy to the NDA govt with focus on the new technology to make farming easy for the farmers. This technique can be an example.
Experts hold the view that spraying pesticides on crop is dangerous because of its chemical radiations as there have been several cases of farmers suffering from severe diseases in the past. This kind of technique will protect farmers and keep them away from disease, opine experts.
It is learnt that its rate of performance is also amazing as it takes two days by two laborers to sprinkle pesticides on 1 acre of land while with the help of drone the same could be done in just half an hour.
The craze is catching on as reports of others developing drones for spraying pesticides are trickling in. An engineer from Haryana was in news for developing an autopilot drone for spraying pesticides.
