Speaking on the occasion of IFFCO’s 50th Golden Jubilee celebration in Jaipur, IFFCO Managing Director and CEO Dr U S Awasthi said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a new direction to the country in the form of cashless economy and cooperatives should make the most of it.
Talking about IFFCO’s effort in this direction he said to the hundreds of farmers who have come to meet him to adopt cashless transaction. Jaipur was MD’s 53rd destination where besides farmers and cooperators, several local top notch leaders including Rajasthan Cooperation Minister Ajay Singh Kilak came to greet him.
Impressed by IFFCO’s success Minister Kilak said there should be more and more of business between IFFCO and
Kilak also touched upon the issue of elections in cooperatives in the state and said democratic elections in the co-operative bodies will soon be introduced in the state. The minister added democracy will promote the rise of dynamic leadership in the cooperative sector.
Awasthi met each and every farmer individually and told them about the benefits of neem coated urea, reduced use of urea and importance of regular health check-ups. Several women
IFFCO had also set up several stalls of its products. A cultural event was also organized.
Earlier, IFFCO held its fifth Board (Since the Yatra began) meeting in Jaipur where Directors could be seen attired in Rajasthani headgears.
