IFFCO is into the last minute preparations for the mahasangam of its delegates on the occasion of Annual General Meeting scheduled for Thursday. The team led by IFFCO Managing Director at the top and R P Singh on the ground comprises of Nirmal Kumar, Tarun Bhargava, Harshendra Verdhan and others.

IFFCO is the largest farmers’ cooperative of the world and its AGM offers a view of huge gathering of delegates from practically the whole of India. “Not even a single state is there from where we do not have a delegate”, said a proud Singh.
”More than 800 delegates are coming and they have to look for accommodation on their own. We pay them travel allowance and lodging- bill,” said DGM Tarun Bhargava who is being groomed to take-up cooperative related tasks in the fertilizer cooperative.
NCUI- the venue of the AGM has meanwhile been dolled up with pandals and the auditorium is being readied in earnest.
The Agenda includes some amendments in the bye laws. It brings with it the resolve to explore newer business avenues for improving economic growth of the society in the Bye Law 3(A).
Through an amendment in the bye laws, AGM intends to bring more clarity to the existing bye laws stipulating that a member society of IFFCO shall cease to be a member if its business is in conflict or in competition with the business of IFFCO.
AGM would also decide about cessation of membership on incurring disqualification under the bye law No 19 and suspending member society pending expulsion proceedings.
