Aditya Yadav participated in the Leadership Circle organized by ICA in France on Tuesday. Yadav who is on the Board of ICA from IFFCO represented India’s Cooperative movement in the meeting.
In his address Yadav focused on the Youth participation in the cooperative movement and women empowerment.
He laid emphasis on the cooperative to cooperative business model. Yadav said various actions are being undertaken by the fertilizer cooperative IFFCO and other apex federations in India in this context.
IFFCO has talked to the supreme federation of China to provide agriculture inputs to India which can be distributed to farmers through cooperative societies. For buying agriculture machineries, token money has already been given to respective federations, Yadav added
The idea of Leadership Circle, a concept aimed at training new generation cooperators is a brainchild of DG Charles Gould. About 10 top-notch young cooperators from across the world are part of this Circle and they meet once or twice a year.
To get a birth on the Leadership Circle one has to pay annual fee of 35,000 euro. It is double edged as it both earns money for ICA and prepares an energetic batch of young cooperators, said a source who has worked with the ICA in the past.
