On the day IFFCO had its AGM at NCUI’s headquarters, ICA A-P also had an interesting session at its office in New Delhi. The well- known agricultural expert Dr Gopi Ghosh delivered the first talk on the occasion titled “Cooperatives in India and their potential in 21st Century”.
Formerly an Assistant FAO representative Dr Ghose is an independent consultant in agriculture and food system. He is said to have been on the board of NCDC and NDDB in the past.
The session was jointly organized by the ICA Domus Trust and the ICA-EU. They organized a pilot session on new venture titled CO-OP MIC.
Co-op Misc provides a platform for experts, entrepreneurs and friends of the cooperative movement to help share their ideas, experience and knowledge on strategically relevant themes, read a press release sent by ICA A-P.
The format of the Coop Mic involves an hour long talk on topical issues affecting cooperatives and collectives and included a brief Q&A session. The talk was streamed live on Facebook /ICA Asia and Pacific/ and a 15 minute video was prepared for wider dissemination of the session.
