Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management conducted a nine day Study Visit under the leadership Development Program of bank officials/BoDs of DCCB Garhwal (Uttarakhand).
Such study visits were organized in two states Gujarat and Karnataka. The main objective of the visits was to interact with CEOs, BoDs, and the chairmen of different DCCBs and Urban Co-op Banks.
Another objective was to know the Business model, to understand the best practices adopted by banks to improvise business and employee welfare etc, says a press release issued by the institute.
In Mysore, the visit was conducted at Mysore & Chamarajanagara DCCB, Mysore Merchants Co-Operative Bank, Sri Kanyakaparameswari Co-op Bank and KSIC Silk Weaving Factory.
Cooperative banks and organizations welcomed all officials/BoDs of DCCB Garhwal (Uttarakhand).
During visits, fruitful discussions were held on the competitive environment, RBI role, NPA management, discussions about different financial products etc. These kinds of study visits need to be organized to interchange views and ideas for the improvement of cooperative banking in India.
The study visit program was designed by Dr. Pallavi Ingale (Associate Professor, VAMNICOM) under the guidance of Dr. Hema Yadav (Director, VAMNICOM, Pune).
