Vamnicom launches its flagship course PGDM-ABM

Pune based Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) virtually launched Post Graduate Diploma in Management- Agri Business Management (PGDM-ABM) on Monday.

Vamnicom’s Centre for Management Education has been offering a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM (ABM)) program from the year 1993. The PGDM (ABM) has been recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India and by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to M.B.A. degree.

Vamnicom Director Dr. Hema Yadav, Registrar, V.Sudhir, Joint Programme Director PGDM-ABM Dr. D.Ravi, Assistant Registrar A.K.Tiwary, Faculty & Staff members of the Institute were present at the function held at the headquarters. Students also attended the program virtually.

In her address on the occasion, Dr Yadav extended her best wishes to all the 74 newly admitted students in the PGDM-ABM program. She said the Institute has been providing expert management professionals to various business organizations for about three decades.

She further added that Vamnicom has had the excellent placement record of this program and since its inception we have been providing opportunities to students to explore different co-ops during their courses.

Last year 87 students had participated in the course. However, following Covid-19 classes are being held in online mode.

The program has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for 4 years from June 2015 to June 2019 and extended up to June 2022.

During the courses, students learn to combine the use of technical skills with the understanding of the socio-cultural system to emerge as leaders in their fields and make significant contributions through management in all sectors of society.

Considering the ever growing requirement for professional Managers in the field of Agri Business, the PGDM (ABM) program has been structured with specialization in Agri Business Management (ABM). A.K.Tiwary proposed a vote of thanks.
