VAMNICOM-IFFCO Chair organised a One Day Workshop on “Business Strategies and Venture Management” on 25th July, 2023.
The aim of the workshop was to sensitise dealers to the new schemes of the cooperative eco-system and explain to them how to form cooperatives and work collectively in the input sector, informs a press release issued by Vamnicom. .
The workshop enacted hand holding for capacity building of input dealers focusing moves on procurement strategies, trend of agri-input marketing and market strategies for inorganic and organic fertilisers
The workshop was inaugurated by Director, VAMNICOM, Dr. Hema Yadav. Dr. Sangeeta Shroff, Professor, VAMNICOM, Dr. M.S.Pawar, Senior Marketing Head, IFFCO Regional Office, Pune, Maharashtra, Dr. Mahesh Kadam, I/C IFFCO Chair and Mr. Avudhut Kadam, CARE, Foundation, Pune were present on this occasion.
In her remarks, Dr. Yadav underlined the importance of market information and market intelligence activities in the input ecosystem. The productivity, price, place and promotion strategies are the game changing moves in the input decorum. Input dealers can form collectives either cooperatives, FPOs, SHGs and or relevant entities which can explore the 4Ps of Marketing and make the input business more viable and sustainable, Dr Yadav emphasized.
Conducting the expertise session Senior Marketing, Head, IFFCO Dr. M.S. Pawar informed about IFFCO moving with innovative topics and successful stories about business and marketing strategies under the IFFCO Bazar Scheme. He also highlighted how the cooperative ecosystem and the input system are handholding and creating new business avenues for the stakeholders through IFFCO products like NANO Urea, Sagarika and further technological interventions like drones etc.
Dr. Mahesh Kadam, I/C IFFCO Chair talked about the decorum of IFFCO chair initiatives of capacity building, training, and research activities under IFFCO Chair. He further talked about the schemes of the Ministry of Cooperation which will be helpful to input dealers and to create new business entities through it
The workshop encouraged upcoming input dealers to take the benefit of the IFFCO Bazar Scheme and new initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperation.
In total 68 input dealers from 14 talukas of Pune and Ahmednagar districts of Maharashtra State participated in the one day workshop.
