UP StCb hosts ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ Conference; who’s who attend

The Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Bank, in collaboration with the UP Cooperative Union (PCU), organized a significant conference under the theme ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ at Lucknow. The event saw State Cooperation Minister JPS Rathore as the chief guest.

During the conference, a new PACS Data Management Portal (PDMP) was inaugurated, aimed at enhancing data management for cooperative societies. This initiative marks a step towards modernizing the cooperative sector’s data handling capabilities, ensuring more efficient and transparent operations.

Prominent attendees included Principal Secretary of Cooperation Rajesh Singh, Registrar and Cooperative Commissioner Anil Kumar, Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Managing Director R.K. Kulshrestha and representatives from various District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs).

Their presence underscored the event’s importance and the collective commitment to advancing the cooperative movement in the state.

Minister Rathore took the opportunity to honor six district central cooperative banks for their exemplary performance and contributions to business progress. The honored banks included Unnao, Badaun, Allahabad, Mirzapur, Deoria, and Moradabad DCCBs.

These banks were recognized for their achievements in reducing Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) and increasing profits. For instance, Unnao DCCB’s Net NPA decreased from Rs 10.32 crore to Rs 8.39 crore, while Mirzapur DCCB’s profit surged from Rs 1.51 crore to Rs 4.39 crore.

Additionally, under the MSME scheme, Minister Rathore distributed a cheque of Rs 30 lakh to Veerbhan Singh. Under the Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojna, cheques of Rs 25 lakh each were given to Sushila and Nizar Jaiswal, demonstrating the government’s commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth.

The UP State Cooperative Bank also highlighted its February 2024 initiative to encourage entrepreneurship by providing loans up to Rs 60 lakh for five years, secured under the CGTMSE guarantee. Since April 2024, the bank has sanctioned Rs 5 crore in loans under this scheme, showcasing its dedication to nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit within the state.

The event concluded with urging all cooperative societies to work diligently towards achieving the discussed goals and implementing the cooperative schemes effectively.
