Reports coming from various sources are pointing to the fact that North Kerala is passing through a quiet revolution in software development as never before. Uralungal Cyber Park’s IT division is moving close to creating 50,000 jobs, as strategized earlier.
Aimed at developing expertise in “disruptive technologies” and spread in 32 lakh square feet Cyber Park, media reports say, six companies are starting their operations in the UL Cyber Park. Nine more start-ups will also be settling in this state-of-the-art IT space soon.
Currently, UL Cyber Park houses 78 firms comprising 42 companies, including the new 6 entrants, and 36 start-ups. The nine new start-ups will bring the total number to 87. The new companies have also got the approval to operate in the UL Cyber Park which has special economic zone (SEZ) status, reports Wirenews.
New companies include Hyperblox India Private Limited, Telestation Private Limited, Palmtrix Technologies, IOCOD Infotech Private Limited, TECHTADD Private Limited and Aeth Analytica Ltd.
These companies focus on the latest digital and disruptive technologies operating in Telecom Services, E-Commerce, Mobile Application, Digital Marketing, Fleet Management, Software Development, Education, Healthcare, Employment Sector, Hospitality, Retail, Media, Transportation and Engineering. All of them have their customer base located in the US, Europe and the Gulf countries entirely.
UL Cyber Park is part of the Uralungal Group which has diversified into information technology (IT) through UL technology solutions (ULTS) and UL CyberPark. A source is quoted saying UL Cyber park has signed up with leading institutions in Delhi, Karnataka and some others.
Earlier, the ULCCS has taken upon itself the task of protecting cooperative fraternity from the frequent cyberattacks on them in the want of them having the necessary wherewithal to fight the same.
An IIT Professor R Gopalakrishnan had paid glowing tributes to Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS) and said India needs to have many more ULCCS to be prosperous.
ULCCS formed in 1925 was started by laborers as a cooperative society catering to the needs of the lower strata in Kerala.
