In a move aimed at supplying medicines at a reasonable price to the public , the Tamil Nadu Government contemplates establishing 100 cooperative pharmacies in the state , announced the T N cooperative minister S K Raky while inaugurating a cooperative medicine store in Madurai.
According to him, chief minister Jaylalitha has desired the provision of essential medicines at a cheaper price through the cooperative pharmacies to the people at large.
The cooperative pharmaceutical shops would offer 15 percent rebate on all medicines, maintain adequate stocks and sell genuine medicines.
All the cooperative pharmacies would be fully computerized and they would immediately be able find out about their stocks and the off the shelves medicines.
