Since cooperatives in Telangana are still governed by the Andhra Pradesh Cooperative Societies Act, 1964, the Telangana govt intends bringing in new legislations for its cooperatives, says Hindu quoting a cooperative bank official.
Following -bifurcation, the Telangana cooperative sector had stuck to the 1964 legislation as well as the Mutually Aided Cooperative Societies Act enacted in the combined State, the official said while speaking in a symposium held by a TRS MLA on cooperatives.
Several prominent cooperative functionaries attended the symposium.
