The Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative Ltd. (KSSFCL) successfully concluded a two-day training program focused on Managerial Excellence and Business Development for directors of Souharda cooperatives. The event, held on May 28 and 29, 2024, culminated in a valedictory program attended by prominent figures in the cooperative sector.

Mr. B.H. Krishna Reddy, the former president and current director of KSSFCL, was the chief guest for the valedictory program. In his speech, Mr. Reddy highlighted the significant strides made by Souharda Sahakari across Karnataka, particularly in areas such as IT, GST, and organizational branding. He emphasized the importance of continued hard work and organization for the growth and success of cooperative societies.

Shri B.S. Gundurao, another director of KSSFCL, presided over the valedictory ceremony. He expressed his happiness with the high-level training programs conducted by KSSFCL and noted the substantial participation from directors of various Souharda cooperatives. Shri Gundurao stressed the need for continuous improvement in the quality of cooperative organizations, urging participants to implement the knowledge and strategies discussed during the training.

Shri C.P. Vijay, also a director at KSSFCL, addressed the gathering, reinforcing the importance of managerial excellence in achieving business development goals. The program began with a prayer led by Smt. Harsha Prabha, followed by a warm welcome and introductory remarks from Shri Sivakumar Biradar, a senior officer at KSSFCL.

The highlight of the valedictory session was the distribution of certificates to all participants, recognizing their engagement and commitment to the training program. This two-day event saw participation from five Souharda cooperatives across four divisions of the state, where they shared their success stories and discussed strategies for progress and innovation.

Representatives from various cooperatives presented their achievements and insights. From the Bangalore Division, Mr. B.H. Krishna Reddy, President of The Pavagada Souharda Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., detailed the accomplishments of his organization. Mr. Vasant Nayaka, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Saraswati Credit Cooperative Society from the Mysore Division, also shared his cooperative’s success story.

Mr. Viresh Hiremath from the Bhramaramba Pattina Souharda Sahakari Sangh in the Kalaburagi Division provided insights into his cooperative’s operations. Additionally, Mrs. Muniratna, President of Swati Jyoti Mahila Vividodhesha Souharda Sahakari Sangh from the Bangalore Division, spoke about the activities and achievements of her organization.

The event saw the participation of 122 representatives from 65 cooperatives across 15 districts, all benefiting from the intensive training and exchange of ideas aimed at fostering growth and development within the Souharda cooperative movement.
