The Karnataka state cooperative urban banks federation will hold the Karnataka Urban Co-Operative Banking Summit in Belgaum in November. The event will be inaugurated by Karnataka Chief Minister S Siddaramaiah, reports a news outlet.
The summit will discuss challenges facing the cooperative banking sector. Market competition, clientele retention, technological modernization and financial constraints are some of the problems that may figure in discussions during the summit.
Around 266 Co-operative Banks, 21 DCCB Banks and more than 1400 delegates will participate in the exhibition to be held during the summit. More than 75 exhibition stalls will be set up at the exhibition.
Several dignitaries and banking officials including H.S. Mahadeva Prasad, Minister of Cooperation, Government of Karnataka; H K Patil, Minister of Rural Development & Panchyati Raj Government of Karnataka will attend the event.
