Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is set to address the National Conference on “Initiatives Taken by the Ministry of Cooperation in 100 Days” at ICAR, Pusa, New Delhi on Thursday.
The event will focus on the Ministry’s significant achievements and discuss the future roadmap for cooperative development across India.
Key highlights of the event include the launch of White Revolution 2.0 and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the formation of 2 lakh new Multi-Purpose Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (MPACS), as well as new Primary Dairy/Fishery Cooperative Societies in previously uncovered villages and panchayats.
Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, and Panchayati Raj, Rajiv Ranjan, will also attend the event.
The Ministry of Cooperation announced the conference via its social media channels, highlighting the participation of senior officials, cooperative leaders, and other key stakeholders, including representatives from both state and district levels.
Invited guests include the Secretaries of the Departments of Dairying and Fisheries from all States and Union Territories, as well as Registrars of Cooperative Societies.
Senior executives from State Cooperative Banks, District Central Cooperative Banks, State Milk Federations, District Milk Unions, and Fishery Federations will also attend.
In addition, District Development Managers from NABARD and district-level cooperative registrars are expected to participate, showcasing the extensive reach and significance of the cooperative movement in India.
The conference will provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss the Ministry’s achievements and outline strategies to enhance the role of the cooperative sector in India’s economic and social development.
