Sanghani showcases co-op products before PM; Modi lauds Amar Dairy

Not letting go of any chance to showcase the success of the co-operative sector, NCUI President Dileep Sanghani welcomed the Prime Minister in Gujarat with a shawl made by a Primary co-operative and explained to him how products from small co-ops are making headlines.

The event was the visit of the prime minister to Amreli for an election rally. Being a senior most leader who has been entrusted to ensure victory in all the five assembly constituencies in Amreli, Sanghani was at the forefront of welcoming the Prime Minister.

“I welcomed Modi Ji with a special shawl made by a Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society of Jammu & Kashmir ”, said Sanghani describing a picture of him draping the shawl on PM, which is doing the rounds on social media.

Talking to the Indian Cooperative soon after the meeting, Sanghani said that in order to encourage the said PACS, NCUI has bought such shawls in good numbers and gifts them to special dignitaries in order to popularize them. “It comes in three colours and is fantabulous, ”added Sanghani.

Addressing a public rally in the Amreli district, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he feels like home whenever he goes in the district. “Whenever I come to Amreli, I feel at home. The sheer turnout of people here shows which way the election is going this time around.

Modi also referred to Amar Dairy and lauded its role in generating employment for the youth of the district. It bears recalling that Amar Dairy is a brain child of Dileep Sanghani who has worked hard to develop it as a successful co-op venture. Only recently Sanghani participated in the event organized at the AMAR Dairy, Amreli where co-operators from across the district had gathered to unfurl the Co-op flag on the occasion of Co-op Week.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by his Cabinet colleague Purshottam Rupala and others. Sanghani’s son Manish Sanghani, who is also a cooperator cum local office bearer of BJP welcomed the Prime Minister on his arrival.

During his visit to Gujarat Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth around Rs 15,670 crore. He inaugurated the DefExpo22 at Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre, launched the Mission Schools of Excellence and laid the foundation stone of various development projects in Junagadh.Thereafter, he inaugurated India Urban Housing Conclave 2022 and laid the foundation stone of multiple key projects in Rajkot.

On the second day he launched the Mission LiFE at Kevadia. He laid the foundation stone for improvement of coastal highways along with construction of missing links. In the first phase of this project, a total highway length of over 270 Km will be covered across 13 districts.
