Sanghani & Chandra Pal attend B 20 Inception meeting in Gandhinagar

NCUI President Dileepbhai Sanghani and ICA Asia Pacific President who doubles as Kribhco Chairman Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav attended the B20 India inception inaugural meeting at Gandhinagar on Monday. The crucial meeting was attended by Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw, Piyush Goyal and Amitabh Kant, among others.

Speakers after speakers underlined India’s growth story and told how the world can learn from its experience. Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw laid emphasis on India’s approach to economic management and digital economy.

The B20 is the official G20 dialogue forum that officially conveys its final recommendations to the G20 presidency. India holds the presidency of the G20 from December 1, 2022 to November 30, 2023.

Talking to the Indian Cooperative NCUI President Dileep Sanghani said there could not be a better chance than this (G20 meeting) to drive home the message that Cooperatives could lead the world to prosperity.

Echoing the sentiments, ICA-AP President Chandra Pal Singh said, “This is a great opportunity for India to be the G-20 Presidency. India plans to showcase its economic, social, and cultural achievements during its Presidency”.

Arriving in Delhi from Gandhinagar soon after attending the meeting, Chandra Pal said India represents perhaps the strongest co-op movement in the world and this is the time we have to showcase Indian Co-ops to them.

“Co-ops in India are active at different stages of economic activities-be it production, marketing or lending financial assistance. They have also been able to brave economic dislocations in the wake of Covid or recessions and saved the country from hardship”, explained the ICA AP President.

But we are also open to learn from the best practices of co-ops from other countries and global co-op conclave being planned in the wake of G20 would offer us such a chance, said Chandra Pal.

NCUI Deputy CE Savitri Singh was also present on this occasion. Soon after attending the meeting, Sanghani shared the news through his twitter wall with photographs.

It bears recall that last week a group of top co-operators led by NCUI President Dileep Sanghani and ICA AP President Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav had met Indian Sherpa Amitabh Kant in the latter’s office in Delhi, seeking co-ops’ engagement in the G20 proceedings.
