RSS’s cooperative wing Sahakar Bharati held State level conference on Sunday at Yashwant Bhavan in Mumbai. More than 120 Karyakartas from all over the State have participated in the function.
Held at Sydenham College Auditorium it was 10th Executive Committee Meeting. While Chandrakant Dada Patil, Revenue Minister inaugurated the Conference Subhash Bapu Deshmukh addressed the concluding session.
Sahakar Bharati is organizing a lecture series on the occasion of the centenary celebration of Sahakar Bharti founder and source of inspiration Late Laxmanrao Inamdar across the states.
Sahakar Bharti National Secretary Vijay Dewangan welcomed the participants. In his speech, Dewangana said cooperatives are playing an important role in improving the life of poor people especially those living in rural areas. The cooperative sector is the only sector in India that worked for the upliftment of the poor, he added.
Readers would note that, earlier during the centenary celebration Sahakar Bharti Patron Satish Marathe said ” we will remember his contributions in strengthening Sahakar Bharti as well as the cooperative movement generally by organizing seminars and other activities in different states of the country throughout the year”.
