The 5th Provincial Convention of Sahakar Bharati, Uttar Pradesh, brought together cooperative members and farmers from across the state. The gathering, held in the holy city of Ayodhya, showcased the progress being made in the cooperative sector as well as elected new office bearers for the state.
During the event, organizational discussions took place, and a three-year action plan was formulated. Dr. Arun Singh was elected as the State President and Arvind Dubey as the State General Secretary. The announcement was made by election officer Deepak Chaurasia. The conference, inaugurated by UP’s Cooperative Minister GPS Rathore, saw the participation of over 500 representatives from various cooperative institutions. IFFCO MD Dr. U.S. Awasthi also attended the event.
The success of the cooperative model in the country is now being recognized on the international stage, with India’s cooperative efforts becoming a global example. In addition to speeches, the event featured an exhibition aimed at educating farmers and cooperative members about the latest advancements in agriculture.
The display showcased innovative solutions, including the Nano Fertilizer developed by IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative). Attendees were briefed on the benefits of Nano Fertilizer, which promises to improve soil health and increase crop yields while being eco-friendly and cost-effective.
