Campco Chairman Satish Chandra and Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative Chairman B.H.Krishna Reddy have been elected unopposed as the Chairman and General Secretary of Karnataka State Sahakar Bharati team respectively.
Chandra has replaced Rtd Additional Registrar M.G.Patil whereas Reddy replaced Yadagare Subramanya. Subramanya, however was re-elected as the Vice-President.
Talking to this correspondent Reddy said, “Today the election of Karnataka State Sahakar Bharati team was held and I am elected unanimously for the first time as the General Secretary of State Sahakar Bharati team during the 2nd State level conference organized in RICM Bangalore on Sunday”.
“The executive committee comprises of nearly 40 members and would render service for three years”, he added.
Meanwhile, Karnataka State Sahakar Bharati team organized a second state level conference at RICM, Bangalore where nearly 400 people participated. Discussions on several co-op issues including the one related to the amendment of state cooperative act, were held. The gist of the discussion has been planned to be given as memorandum to the concerned authorities.
On this occasion leaders also passed resolution urging the government to make cooperative a National Issue and ensure uniform acts applicable on all the cooperatives in the state.
Readers would recall that earlier the 1st state level conference of Karnataka Sahakar Bharati was held three years back in North Karnataka.
