Sah Bharati Fisheries Cell vows to usher in Blue Revolution

During a national level meeting of its Fisheries Cell held recently in Delhi, Sahakar Bharati leaders vowed to usher in the Blue Revolution in every province of the country. The meeting was presided over by its national President Dinanath Thakur.

Thakur guided the participants present on the occasion and explained how the Machhuwara cell is working for the benefit of members. He also drew a picture of its rosy future if all take interest.

Inspiring the assembly, Thakur said you can work as a soldier in the development of the fisheries industry. He also laid emphasis on keeping the water clean as the environmental balance is the call of the time.

Thakur said Sahakar Bharti is creating fishermen cells at the province level, making SOPs, and enlisting more and more people to its fold. Together we can do wonders in the field of fish farming, he stated.

Participants of 12 provinces present in the meeting, got a general introduction to the subject and were told about various new initiatives undertaken by the Fisheries Cell. Sahakar Bharati runs more than 20 such Cells focused on individual sectors such as UCBs, Dairy, Fisheries, etc.

National Convener of Fisheries (Machhuwara) Cell, Umesh Uchpan, Co-convenor Jayantibhai Kewat, and Co-convener Manjunath were also present.

Delhi Chapter Sahakar Bharati Chief Awadhesh Tyagi and General Secretary Manish Jain were present along with provincial chiefs and other members of the fishermen’s cell who came from 12 provinces. The meeting started with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of Bharat Mata by Dinanath Thakur and others.

In his welcome address, Umesh Uchappan stated how the fishermen’s cell started its work from the ground level and how far it has come up in terms of training the fishermen.

Jayanti Bhai Kewat and Manjunath also put forth their views on the subject. The general refrain was ushering in a blue revolution across provinces, where Sahakar Bharati is active.  Jayantibhai Kewat said that we can set an example in Sahakar Bharati, we can create workers in every district, and can also benefit the poor fishermen.

Manjunath presented his views on how we can create employment through cooperative societies of fishermen. A discussion was held on the role of Sahakar Bharati in cooperatives within Delhi by Manish Jain, the General Secretary of the Delhi chapter. In the meeting, Sahakar Bharati Machhuwara Cell decided to hold a national convention on the subject on 30-31 July.

NCDC Assistant Director Nilesh explained how NCDC is training fishermen as he also gave ideas of various schemes of the Government of India which can be exploited to the benefit of fishermen. Nilesh also spoke on how to form FPO in the field of fish farming.

A vote of thanks was given by Awadhesh Tyagi, President of Sahakar Bharati Delhi State. He thanked everybody including Dinanath Thakur, Digvijay Pandey, and Priyank Mishra among others.
