Rajasthan Registrar of Cooperative Societies Muktanand Agarwal gave away the cooperative lender-NCDC Excellence and Merit Award to five cooperatives of the state in a function organized recently at Sahakar Bhavan.
The four cooperatives were given a cash prize of Rs 25k each and one cooperative got the cash prize of Rs 20k, apart from a memento.
The awards were given in three categories: in the best PACCs category, the first prize, and second prize were given to Nimod Gram Seva Sahakari Samiti, Nagaur, and Rampur Gram Seva Sahakari Samiti, Hanumangarh respectively.
The names of other societies include Kakedi Sale Purchase Cooperative Society, Ajmer, Owan Milk Producer Cooperative Society, Bundi, and Saldar Rampura Mahila Village Industries Cooperative Society, Kotkhawada.
Addressing the participants, Agrawal urged co-ops to diversify their business in other activities and connect more and more people with cooperatives and provide them quality services. He also encouraged and motivated the cooperative societies that received awards to perform better in the future.
Additional Registrar, Marketing Dhansingh Dewal, Additional Registrar Processing Jitendra Sharma, Additional Registrar, Human Resource Surendra Singh Poonia, Joint Registrar, Banking Sanjay Pathak, and others were present.
According to NCDC’s website, it has provided total disbursements of Rs. 12647.29 crore benefitting various cooperative projects/units in Rajasthan up to 31.03.2021.
NCDC has assisted Ajmer Milk Union with Rs 214.76 crore for setting up of a fully automatic modern Milk Processing Plant of 8 LLPD (expandable up to 10 LLPD), 30 MTPD Milk Powder Plant, and other processing facilities. The plant will be equipped with the latest technology & equipment, the first of its kind in Northern India.
