About 90 officers in senior ranks such as Senior Managers, Managers and Information Technology Officers have joined in the Punjab State Cooperative Banks. The staff starved cooperative banks have heaved a sigh of relief.
Addressing the newly inducted officers Punjab Chief Minister said that with their induction the crisis of staff-crunch is gone and the co-operative banks could focus on the solving the problems of people residing in rural areas.
Badal said that his government is determined to modernize these banks and make it at par with PSUs.
He hoped that with new staff the Banks’ complaint would go away a vigorous effort to deliver services would be started.
Exhorting the newly appointed officers to discharge their duties with utmost dedication and commitment, the Chief Minister said that there was no short cut to success as a person could excel in his career only through sheer hard work and devotion.
He directed the officers of the Cooperative Department to fulfill the remaining vacant posts in the department so that far better services could be delivered to the customers.
