Emphasizing the need to encourage FPOs, NITI Aayog conducted a consultation titled ‘Farmers Producer Organization: Challenges and Vision’ under the guidance of Prof Ramesh Chand, Member of NITI Aayog recently.

Representatives from diverse FPOs across states acknowledged the initiatives implemented by the Central Government and candidly discussed the obstacles they encountered.
Earlier, Parshottam Rupala had given a call at NCUI headquarters for co-ops to join ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’. Rupala said this while inaugurating the 70th All India Cooperative Week organized by National Cooperative Union of India. Rupala felt cooperatives could play an important role in creating awareness about ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’.
Last week in Delhi Union Minister Amit Shah narrated how IFFCO’s drones are catching villagers’ fancy during the Yatra of ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp’. Sharing his experiences from the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Shah emphasized the growing popularity of Agri Drones in villages. He traced the evolution of agriculture, noting the transition from ploughs to tractors and now to the fascination of agri drones, predicting that drone-operating individuals, referred to as Drone Didis, are the future of Indian agriculture.
During PM’s address on Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’, co-operators from across the country were glued to TV screen when he interacted with the beneficiaries of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. PM launched Mahila Kisan Drone Center and dedicated the historic 10,000th Jan Aushadhi Kendra dedicated at AIIMS Deoghar on the occasion.
An ace co-operator Dileep Sanghani reiterated co-ops’ engagement with Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) and said that co-operators are associating themselves with the VBSY team whenever it reaches a village. He felt that Prosperity through co-ops is possible sooner than later if co-operators get aligned to the Yatra.
Talking to the Indian Cooperative Kribhco Chairman Chandra Pal Singh Yadav also reiterated his faith in the VBSY and said that the members of Kribhco are active across states to make the program a huge success.
