The apex body of labour cooperatives-NLCF has become once again a hotbed of controversies with a meeting being called by the Vice Chairman, wherein both the Chairman Ashok Dabas and the CE N Satyanarayan are removed in no time!
It is reported that NLCF Vice-Chairman Narendra Rana called the board meeting in Pune on 3rd December without keeping MD N Satyanarayana or Chairman in the loop. Satyanarayan is on leave due to his health issues.
The meeting was attended by Sanjiv Kushalkur, Amit Bajaj, V V P Nair, W Z Tekam, and others but Ashok Dabas, Government Nominee Vivek Chaturvedi, NCDC representative were conspicuous by their absence.
The board took far-reaching decisions during the meeting. W Z Tekam was made the officiating Chairman by removing Ashok Dabas. Vinay Kumar Chauhan who was on deputation at Warehousing Development Regulatory Authority (WDRA) was given the charge of Managing Director by removing N Satyanarayana.
The co-opted director Arun Tomar has been removed and the Nafed government nominee Ashok Thakur was co-opted by the board.
Meanwhile, several rounds of allegations and counter-allegations are flying. One of the lady employees of NLCF lodged a complaint against MD Vinay Kumar Chauhan in Sarita Vihar Police Station for misbehaving and abusing her.
In her complaint she says that Vinay Kumar Chauhan abused her and threatened to throw her out of the office. Refuting the charges Chauhan says ‘these are fake allegations as several staff-members witnessed the scene and they can vouch for me.
On his part Chauhan has charged Dabas of maltreatment to one Dinesh Chandra, Asst. Director who belongs to the SC community. “He was regularly harassed by Mr Ashok Dabas. A complaint has been lodged in both the PO and SC Commission”, informed Chauhan.
Meanwhile, in their clarification, WRDA ( the body where Chauhan is posted on deputation) officials say, “We did not authorize Mr Vinay Kumar Chauhan to take additional charge as MD of NLCF. As per the available record, Chauhan was not given permission by WRDA to visit NLCF office on 18.11.2021”, the letter reads.
