Reports of farmers tuning in to the address of Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on the occasion of Nano DAP launch are pouring in from across states after a day of the event. Shah’s address assumes importance in the light of him exhorting farmers not to use both solid and liquid (Nano) Urea and DAP for the sake of conserving the soil.
According to a source close to IFFCO, lakhs and lakhs of farmers as well as local co-operators participated with full gusto in the launch of IFFCO Nano DAP from the sprawling headquarters of IFFCO in Delhi on Wednesday.
A very large number of pictures of farmers attending the event have been received at the desk of the Indian Cooperative. The farmers from Kashmir to Kanyakumari had attended the event with full enthusiasm. A full discussion of them all is beyond the scope of this column.
IFFCO had sent the links of the event to more than 4 crore farmers and during the event it was told by the host that around 2 crore representatives were watching the launch event live.
In Bareilly and Kaushambi districts of Uttar Pradesh, farmers had seen the live coverage of the event. “Farmers were shown a live telecast of the inauguration program of IFFCO Nano DAP at IFFCO E Bazar Osha in Kaushambi. A total of 40 farmers took part in the meeting”.
“Live telecast was shown to the farmers by holding a virtual meeting of the inauguration ceremony of Nano DAP at the IFFCO Bazar Nawabganj Bareilly”, one of the users on social media wrote.
Maharashtra state was no less enthusiastic in watching the event live. A group of farmers were assembled together to watch the launching on a big TV screen.
Besides, in various cooperatives of Ranchi, Gumla, Jamshedpur, farmers were shown the live telecast of the IFFCO Nano DAP launch program.
“Kisan Sabha was organized at IFFCO Deoghar, Dumka and Godda and farmers were shown a live telecast of the launch program, ” one of the participants wrote on social media.
Another participant wrote, “IFFCO State Marketing Manager and 50 farmers were shown the live telecast of
the inauguration program of the IFFCO Nano DAP liquid by Honorable Union Home and Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah in Adampur co-op and farmers were also informed about the use of Nano Urea and DAP”.
In Uttarakhand, a Kisan Sabha was organized under the Nano DAP launch program. The Chief guest in the program was Commissioner Sugarcane Development and Sugar Industry Uttarakhand Hans Aadat Pandey and many others were present on this occasion.
Himachal Pradesh farmers were also keenly watching the live streaming of the launching of the IFFCO Nano DAP. “Honorable Union Home and Cooperative Minister. Amit Shah inaugurated the IFFCO Nano DAP liquid today at the IFFCO Headquarters Delhi, which was telecasted live to farmers in various cooperative societies of Himachal Pradesh”, informed a participant through social media.
