The Governing Council members of NAFSCOB Mrs T Lalmunpui, Shri Bhagat Singh and MD Shri B Subramaniyam along with Vice Chairman Ashok Bajaj visited headquarters of Apex Bank at Raipur. There were felicitated by the staffs as they also visited Pandari branch and ATM.
National federation of State Cooperative Banks (NAFSCOB) National Vice-President Ashok Bajaj said the pending proposal of opening branches of the apex bank is under the consideration of the Reserve bank of India.
He further said cooperatives should be included in the school syllabus.
Readers would recall that earlier Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh had written a letter to Union HRD minister Smriti Irani for proposing a Cooperative related chapter in Syllabus of Schools and universities.
NAFSCOB Managing Director Bhima Subrahmanyam lauded the role and the activities of the Apex Bank in the state. He also proposed a vote of thanks.
