MP state cooperative dept seems not to work in unison as is evident from some of its officials making a mess of things.
In a belated move to stem the rot, the dept has finally suspended Shailendra Singh additional director (Judiciary) for giving verdicts in cooperative polls -something that is not within his competence.
Sources say the dept took the extreme step because most of the dept officials had objected to this transgression. Some cooperative officials have even demanded a probe in the erring director’s various decisions and his involvement in irregular financial transactions.
Cooperative officials say as per the new Act of the central govt , the election authority and the dept of cooperation are separated to ensure fair elections.
At the time of elections, all cooperative entities are supposed to work under the election authority. However, the suspended additional director through pronouncing election verdicts had indulged in infractions of the Act.
