Nowadays, ICA President and an ace cooperator of India Dr Chandra Pal Singh is busy campaigning for his son Yashpal Singh Yadav who is fighting the UP Assembly elections on the Samajwadi Party ticket from the Babina (Jhansi) constituency.
For seeking votes, Yadav toured Barata village as well as Badagaon block. He was accompanied by MLC Shyamsunder Singh Pasricha among others.
During the campaigning, he met old and young, children and women. Yadav stopped at every shop as well as the household to seek support for his son. People assured him of their support.

Yashpal is a co-operator in his own right as he is a Board member of the apex consumer co-op body NCCF. He is contesting the election on the Samajwadi Party ticket and the voting is on 20 February 2022.

During his campaign, while meeting the people of the village Kazipur on Monday he attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party for not fulfilling the promises made during the last assembly polls. Yadav assured that he would solve the problem of portable water by building big tanks in the area.
Besides, addressing a query from a journalist, Yadav said he would initiate measures including inviting private companies to set up their industries so as to stop migration from the area.
Earlier, during his Jan Sampark Abhiyan, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav had visited Jhansi and sought support in favor of Samajwadi Party candidates.
Readers would recall that in the last assembly election Yadav lost the election by a small margin. Currently, this seat belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Rajeev Singh Parichha and this time again BJP has fielded Parichha from the constituency.
