Good news for Maharashtra cooperatives that they are under the care of a well-meaning and powerful Minister to look after their interest over next 5 years in Mr Chandrakant Patil as discovered by media to be a new power centre in state BJP.
As the storey goes a low-profile RSS activist turned-powerful politician Chandrakant Patil has emerged as the new power centre in the BJP, due to a direct link with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah.
“All credit goes to him to save the age-old State Maharashtra-uti of BJP and Shiv Sena by convincing Sena leaders to join the state cabinet”.
These Sources reportedly added: “the need to join hands in the state’s larger interest, Sena giving up the deputy chief minister’s post and the home portfolio” became a reality on account of Patil’s persuasion who himself is strongly committed to well being of the State. Cooperation being in his charge is good news for us.
“When it appeared there was no possibility of Sena joining the government, Patil knocking at the doors of Modi and Shah” turned out to be a game changer in the State politics at a crucial point and is bound to have a lasting impact. This is no mean achievement for a person who entered active politics less than a decade ago with Pune division graduate constituency in 2008 winning a BJP seat to the legislative council. Patil was given responsibility of building up the organization in western Maharashtra.
After his re-election in 2014, Patil took the lead in mobilizing pro-BJP leaders in the region. Patil has been credited with roping in Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana leader Raju Shetty and Rashtriya Samaj Paksha leader Mahadev Jankar in the Mahayuti. “He is a new power centre in the state,’’ a BJP minister proudly said on assurance of anonymity the report adds.
The evidence of his active part was smarty gathered by media when his presence was noted, playing a major role in the negotiations, on last Tuesday (December 2, 2014) when the C M Fadnavis had an hour-long meeting with BJP chief Amit Shah in New Delhi.
There is no doubt that Mr Chandrakant Patil has got the capability and sinciority to develop cooperative in Maharashtra. He took initiative to resolve the long lasting problem of Rupee bank in Maharashtra which is an outcome of nexus between politicians and cooperative bank officials . He is doing sincere efforts for the bank that the same should not be liquidated. He is also making efforts with Mr Mukund Abhyankar on the same way for looking possibility of merging the bank with some powerful healthy bank. It is true that if the Rupee bank problem is not resolved up to the expectations of depositors and account holders there will be a great disbelieve on cooperative sector.Efforts should be made to pay off the hard earned money to respective depositors without any losses to them.A permanant arrangement should be sought so that in future cooperative banks will be in safe hands.
looking forward that present situations of cooperative banks will improve and depositors will not suffer from any losses as they keep their hard earned money as safe deposit for their future emergencies.
There may be a few un-scruplous politicians but number of honest people far outweigh the number of former. The honest members start taking initiatives to fight a few dishonest is the crux of Cooperative – so each one who thinks himself honest should start the fight in his small way.Over a period that is going to bring results.
