Central Cooperative Bank in Bihar’s Nalanda district fell prey to burglary when unidentified men stole Rs five lakh after breaking open the shutters of the bank.
According to local police burglars broke open the shutter and entered the Chandi branch bank and took away the money from the lockers.
Police is yet clueless about the miscreants and a massive manhaunt has been launched in the area. Raids were on in the area to apprehend them and recover the money, police said.
It is yet not clear if the there was any security guard in the bank and if he was there what did he do to stop the crime from taking place.
