Chief minister of Jharkhand Arjun Munda has announced the scheme of a soft loan for farmers in the state.
“The state government, through cooperative banks, will provide soft loan to farmers. The rate of interest will be 3% per annum.
Any farmer in the state willing to take the loan can approach the nearest cooperative bank,” said Munda adding that there was no limit on the number of beneficiaries.
Sources in the chief minister’s secretariat said the agriculture department would soon chalk out a plan for organizing Kisan Mela in all district and make them aware of the benefits of various government schemes for farmers.
