Excerpts:
Dear Friends,
My Heartfelt appreciation & gratitude for your hard work, dedication & perseverance for another successful Financial Year!!
Financial Year 2024-25 was a magnificent year for all of us as IFFCO brought New Innovative Agri technologies to the farmers in form of Nano Fertilisers and Agri Drones. I’m also delighted to share that in a historic move the Ministry of Cooperation announced the formation of India’s first University Tribhuvan Sahkari University for Cooperative sector under the inspiring leadership our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji & under the able guidance of Shri Amit Shah Ji, Hon’ble Home & Cooperation Minister, Govt of India. IFFCO will provide full support for this great initiative as more professional working will come inside the cooperatives across the country.
Friends; I’m glad to share that for the first time in the 130-year history of International Cooperation Alliance’s (ICA), IFFCO successfully hosted the ICA General Assembly and Global Cooperative Conference 2024. The event was Inaugurated by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi Ji & under the able guidance of Shri Amit Shah Ji, Hon’ble Home & Cooperation Minister Govt of India. This was a historic step which put IFFCO ahead on the Global platform with its continued commitment & dedication of working towards PM’s vision of “Sahkar se Samriddhi, Atmanirbhar Bharat & Atmanirbhar Krishi.”
I’m happy to share that IFFCO will be also launching Nano NPK fertilizer in Granular form for soil application in basal dose. Nano NPK fertilizer is enriched with Magnesium, Sulphur, Zinc and Copper which would help in increasing the crop productivity & would minimize nutrients losses. This along with Liquid Nano Urea Plus and Liquid Nano DAP can eliminate the use of traditional chemical fertilisers from the soil. It will further promote balanced nutrition with higher use efficiency of primary nutrients. By incorporating nanotechnology, drone technology, AI technologies we are transforming the agriculture & food value chain of the country. This is possible due to the commitment and hard work of IFFCO’s Scientists, Engineers, Sales/Marketing teams at Plants & various offices across the country.
As a part of PM’s initiative of NaMo Drone Didi, this year IFFCO provided drone training for spraying liquid fertilizers to 300 women farmers as Namo Drone Didi. By breaking barriers & embracing technology Namo drone Didi’s are showcasing the strength & potential of rural women. We also trained more than 1764 rural drone entrepreneurs thus promoting an ecosystem focussed on self-sufficiency & Sustainability.
At IFFCO, we have done more than 2.15 Lakh field demonstrations till date to promote usage of Nano Fertilisers among farmers. IFFCO also led the field trials across the 15 Agro Climatic Zones of the country in which 1270 Nano DAP & 200 Nano Urea field trials were conducted under the guidance of Department of Fertilisers (D0F) in the Kharif 2024. Over 411 ICAR-KVKs monitored these trials on various crops, including Paddy, Maize, Cotton, Groundnut, Chili, Soybean, Red Gram, Black Gram, Sugarcane, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Onion, Brinjal, Okra, Tomato, Apple, etc. The results demonstrated an increase in yields, marking a positive step towards promoting sustainable agriculture through Nano Fertiliser in India.
During the FY 2024-25, IFFCO also initiated a nationwide “Model Nano Village/ Clusters Project” from 1st July, 2024, selecting 203 village clusters spanning 2000 acres each as pioneers in the adoption of Nano fertilisers for reducing the use of bulk fertilisers with an increase in crop productivity & quality. More than 90,000 farmers have been registered in the Nano Village Portal covering 5 lakh acres, with 40,000 farmers purchasing over 5.30 Lakh bottles of IFFCO Nano Fertilisers and Sagarika and 72,000 acres sprayed by Agri Drones. Friends, I am glad to share that the project led to a 28.73% reduction in chemical fertiliser use and a 5.80% increase in crop yield. Further, IFFCO is exploring options to use the data on chemical fertilisers reduction for the Carbon Credit Project for certification of GHG emission reduction through use of Nano Fertilisers by reducing use of chemical fertilisers.
To promote our nanotechnology & sustainable agriculture we sent informative videos and other information on benefit and application of Nano fertilizers via WhatsApp to more than 6 crore farmers. I want to appreciate efforts of Marketing, PR & IT team for this accomplishment.
With high spirit of innovation & excellence, we were able to accomplish a total sale of 365 Lakh Bottles of Nano fertilisers. This Includes 268 Lakh bottles IFFCO Nano Urea Plus Liquid and 97 Lakh bottles of IFFCO Nano DAP Liquid during the FY 2024-25. This sales of IFFCO Nano Urea Plus Liquid is 31%, Nano DAP is 118% and overall 47% higher than the sales of last Financial Year. This individual sales is equivalent to 12 Lakh MT of Urea and 4.85 Lakh MT of DAP. It’s appreciable that IFFCO’s WSF / Specialty Fertilisers / Sagarika Granule Fertilizer have achieved a remarkable sales of 1.92 Lakh MT. It is appreciable that the sales of WSF / Speciality Fertilisers is 1.30 Lakh MT which is 2% higher than last year. Sales of Sagarika Liquid is 11.55 Litre which is 33% higher, Sagarika Granule is 68,000 MT which is 28% higher and Biofertiliser is 8.61 lakh Litre which is 3% higher than the last FY.
The total dispatch of IFFCO Fertilisers during the year 2024-25 has been to the tune of 113.20 Lakh MT including Subsidised Fertilisers, WSF & Specialty Fertilisers. This reflects a growth of 1.80% over the dispatch figure of 111.04 Lakh MT during 2023-24.
Out of the 113.20 Lakh MT despatched this year, 100.73 Lakh MT was moved by Rail (3620 Rakes), 12.18 Lakh MT by Road (38,578 Trucks) and about 0.28 Lakh MT by Coastal route.
