Ahmedabad witnessed an engaging seminar on “Youth Participation through Cooperative Sector in Developing India,” organized by the Gujarat State Cooperative Union. Besides the Union chairman G H Amin, the event, held recently, was graced by the presence of Dileep Sanghani, President of the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI).
Addressing the attendees, Sanghani highlighted the transformative impact of the newly established Ministry of Cooperation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with Amit Shah at its helm.
Sanghani underscored the ministry’s pivotal role in driving initiatives aligned with the vision of “Self-Reliant India” and achieving “Prosperity through Cooperation.”
Sanghani cited examples of successful cooperative societies across India, showcasing their contributions to various sectors and communities. He appealed to the youth to actively join the cooperative movement, emphasizing their potential to shape the nation’s economic and social fabric through collective efforts.
A key highlight of the seminar was the unveiling of the book Samarth Yuva, Samarth Sahkar (Empowered Youth, Empowered Cooperation), which aims to inspire young individuals to embrace cooperative principles.
The event saw the participation of prominent dignitaries, including Ghanshyambhai Amin, President of Gujarat State Cooperative Federation, and Ganpatbhai Patel, founder of Ganpat University. Justice Jayesh Bhairavia, Chairman of the Gujarat Administrative Tribunal, and Sandeep Kumar, Secretary of Gujarat’s Agriculture Department, also shared their insights.
Other notable attendees included Janakbhai Khandwala, Vice-Chancellor of Silver Oak University, Anil Karanjkar, former professor at VAMNICOM Pune, and motivational speaker Sanjaybhai Rawal.
The seminar was attended by a vibrant mix of students and youth from various colleges, reflecting the growing interest of the younger generation in the cooperative sector. The discussions revolved around leveraging cooperative models to address contemporary challenges and fostering an inclusive approach to national development.
