Lakhan Lal Sahu, the Chhattisgarh cooperator who could not make it to the NCUI Governing Council in the last election is once again in the news for organizing a high-profile cooperative meet in Raipur. Union State Minister Mohan Bhai Kundariya is expected to grace the occasion Thursday in which several academicians are participating to brainstorm the theme “make in India in cooperative”.
Sahu is the Chairman of Chhattisgarh state cooperative union. Famous for his mild manners even among his rivals, Sahu has invited everybody from NCUI President to Vice-Chancellors of several universities to the show.
“Chandra Palji is busy and he has instructed me to go”, said Dr Dinesh to Indian Cooperative while preparing to go to Raipur.
Talking to Indian Cooperative Sahu said at least 9 VCs of different universities are coming as the programme is held partly with the assistance of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalay, Raipur.
“You will also see some stars of Bollywood like Sharmila Tagore- a cine star of yesteryear has confirmed her presence”, shared Sahu excitedly.
“The two day show is discussing the role of cooperative in PM Narendra Modi’s vision of Make in India. We have organized several sessions such as Green Revolution, White Revolution(milk) , Grey Revolution(soil), Blue Revolution(fisheries),Pink Revolutions(flowers),Yellow Revolution(dalhan) and Red Revolution(tomatoes etc.)”, underlined Sahu.
Several agricultural scientists are participating and they would speak on each theme separately, informed Sahu.
Lakhan Lal Sahu had earlier advocated Padma awards for farmers and to the people connected to farming. He argued that when film personalities and persons attached to arts and literature could get it, why not farmers.
