G Nanjana Gowda, President of Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative Ltd. (KSSFCL), inaugurated the “High Tech Training Program” designed for Presidents and CEOs of high-end working capital Souharda cooperatives.
This two-day event, held at Ankit Vista, Green Village, Bengaluru, on the 28th and 29th of June, 2024, aimed to enhance the financial discipline and operational efficiency of cooperatives with a working capital of 30 crores and above.
In his inaugural address, Sri G Nanjana Gowda emphasized the importance of maintaining financial discipline for the benefit of cooperative members. He highlighted the role of Souharda cooperatives in fostering economic growth and stability, and how this training program would equip their leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve these goals.
Sri A R Prasanna Kumar, Vice President of KSSFCL, presided over the event, underscoring the cooperative spirit and collaborative efforts required to drive success in the sector. Other notable speakers included KSSFCL Directors Sri Manjunath, Sri G Sridhar, Sri H J Hanumanthshetty, and Sri C P Vijay, who shared their insights on effective management practices and strategic planning.
The event featured a series of comprehensive sessions led by experts in various fields. Dr. S A Sidhanti, Director (Retd.), RICM, and Sri N Darshan, Faculty at SIBSTC Bengaluru, provided valuable perspectives on cooperative governance and financial management. Corporate Trainer Sri Subhash Hegde and CA Sri Madhukar Hegde delivered sessions on leadership and financial auditing, respectively, while H S Nagarajaiah, Additional Registrar (Retd.), Bengaluru, discussed regulatory compliance and best practices in cooperative management.
Sri Sharangowda G. Patil, Managing Director of KSSFCL, welcomed the guests and provided an overview of the program. He stressed the significance of such training programs in building a robust framework for cooperative leadership. Smt. Shailaja Tapli, Director of KSSFCL, delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all participants and speakers.
A total of 148 participants from 141 Souharda cooperatives attended the training program, which was a significant step towards enhancing the capabilities of cooperative leaders in managing high-end working capital. The program not only provided theoretical knowledge but also practical insights through interactive sessions and case studies.
Sri G Nanjana Gowda concluded the event by reiterating the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in the ever-evolving financial landscape. He encouraged all participants to apply the knowledge gained from the program to drive innovation and growth in their respective cooperatives.
