Tempers were frayed in Maharashtra assembly when a member alleged fund misuse by Chandrapur district central cooperative bank squandering several crore rupees on sprucing up its headquarters and some branches.
An enquiry has been ordered in the matter. The district registrar Chandrapur would conduct the enquiry.
However, cooperation Minister defended the diversion of funds saying the year being the golden jubilee year of the bank there existed some justification for doing it.
