Several Chairmen, Directors, and CEOs of Urban Cooperative Banks assembled in Pandharpur for an interactive meeting on April 27, 2024. The meeting was addressed, among others, by RBI Central Board member and one of the founders of Sahakar Bharati, Satish Marathe .
The event, jointly organized by the Association of Solapur District UCBs and Pandharpur UCB Ltd., aimed to delve into the economic landscape at the close of the fiscal year and the pivotal role of the banking sector within it.

Key figures in attendance included Mr. Satish Marathe, Director of the Reserve Bank of India, Pandharpur taluka leader Mr. Umesh Malak Paricharak, Chairman of Nishingandha Bank Kalyanrao Kale, and President of Associations Mr. Lunawat Saheb. The event also saw the participation of Chairman of Pandharpur Bank Mr. Satishrao Mule, Director Mr. Rajnish Kawthekar, along with other notable dignitaries and executives.
Marathe provided a comprehensive review of the nation’s banking sector, analyzing data up to December and offering insights into projected figures through March. He forecasted the GDP to maintain stability at up to 8 percent, emphasizing a 5 percent growth rate in agriculture and addressing the development trajectory and conditions in rural areas.
The seminar concluded on a positive note, with participants engaging in a multifaceted review of the economic landscape. The event commenced with the worship of Lord Panduranga, paying homage to the association’s founders, Laxmanrao Inamdar and Dr. Sudhakarpant.
A collaborative song marked the celebration of success, followed by felicitations for Mr. Satish Marathe, Editor Sushilji Kulkarni, and other distinguished guests.
Pandharpur Bank CEO Shri Virdhe Saheb opened the proceedings, expressing gratitude for the active participation of attendees. Mr. Lunawat Saheb closed the event with optimism, expressing hope for future seminars on diverse topics.
