A posse of IT officers swarmed into houses and offices of two former ministers in Karnataka who had allegedly committed serious irregularities in cooperative societies located in Bangalore.
Both of them had been ministers in the BJP government.
According to IT sources, about a score of places belonging to the impugned leaders have been raided across the state. A large number of documents and other things have been seized, said the sources.
It is worth repeating that while in office, both the former ministers had been criticized for their corrupt activities. Especially one of them as Housing Minister had faced serious allegations in the Karnataka housing board scam, sources recall.
The accused were involved in development of residential layouts for cooperative societies, including the Karnataka Telecom Department Employees Cooperative Society and the Ministry of Communication Employees Cooperative Society.
