Consumerfed would put up more than a thousand cooperative sales outlets across Kerala to sell essential items for the public during the festive season of Onam and Ramazan.
The two festivals would span August and September. Thousands cooperative sales outlets would provide subsidised things during Onam, the president claimed.
The cooperative organisation also intends spending half a crore rupees on setting up a pharmacy college in Thrissur. The goal is to train manpower for managing Neethi medical outlets, he added.
Sources say a large number of medical stores and non-medical stores are being opened throughout the state in the cooperative sector to serve the public.
